VIRTUAL VETERINARY VISIT WITH DR. SALVO

WHEN NOT EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO TO THE VET

WHEN NOT EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO TO THE VET

WHEN NOT EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO TO THE VET

Going to the vet for one pet while leaving another at home can be distressing for everyone! Alternatively, bringing another pet "for moral support" can also be just as stressful. Virtual visits eliminates both of these scenerios at once!

CATS OFTEN HAVE THEIR OWN OPINION!

WHEN NOT EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO TO THE VET

WHEN NOT EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO TO THE VET

Cats in particular are not typically fans of a ' car ride', much less a cat carrier. A virtual visit eliminates this stress for cats. It also allows Dr. Salvo to see the cat in its own environment where he or she is more comfortable and would display more natural behaviors...which helps to better evaluate the current concern.

STAY HOME...RELAX

STAY HOME...RELAX

A virtual visit allows you and your pet to stay at home and not have to get into the car, drive through traffic or wait in a loud lobby.

WHat Happens in florida?

Rules & Laws in Florida

Every state has it's own laws ( restrictions) as to what can occur within it's borders. Florida, as recently as 2024, allowed it's  veterinarians to perform virtual or telehealth visits! Please read some of teh important points before making an appointment as a Florida resident...these rules/laws applies!

Overview of some florida regulations

  •  A veterinarian practicing veterinary telehealth may order, prescribe, or make available medicinal drugs or drugs specifically approved for use in animals by the United States Food and Drug Administration, the use of which conforms to the approved labeling. Prescriptions based solely on a telehealth evaluation may be issued for up to 1 month for products labeled solely for flea and tick control and up to 14 days of treatment for other animal drugs. Prescriptions based solely on a telehealth evaluation may not be renewed without an in-person examination
  • May not use veterinary telehealth to issue an international or interstate travel certificate or a certificate of veterinary inspection.
  • This bill authorizes licensed veterinarians in Florida to practice veterinary telehealth, which is the use of telecommunications technology to provide various veterinary services remotely. It defines the scope and requirements for veterinarians practicing telehealth, including the establishment of a veterinarian-client-patient relationship, prescribing certain medications, and maintaining patient records. The bill also grants the Board of Veterinary Medicine jurisdiction over veterinarians practicing telehealth, regardless of their physical location. Additionally, the bill clarifies the definition of "records owner" for veterinary medical patient records.
